This page explains how to delete your account in the Mementum app (by Mementum, Inc.) and what happens to your data.

Delete it in the app

1. Open the Mementum app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm with your password.

Or ask us by email

If you can't open the app, write to team@mementum.io from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Mementum account". We may ask you to confirm it is really you, and we answer within one month.

What is deleted, and what is kept

• Deleted at once: your email address, name, password and sign-in links. Every session is ended.
• Memories you added to pieces stay with those pieces, still showing the name you used, because they are part of that piece's story. Delete any you want gone before you delete your account, or ask us at team@mementum.io to remove your name from them.
• Memories you delete stay in "Recently deleted" for 30 days, then are erased with their files.
• Backups: deleted files are fully gone within 30 days. Database backups are kept for up to 12 months, only to restore the service after a failure.
• Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.

To delete some of your data without deleting your account, delete individual memories in the app. You can also download a copy of your data from the Profile tab first.
